The Top 10 Board Games of All Time
I love board games, so I figured I would definitely enter this challenge
1. Chess
My favorite! Chess is a lifetime of fun.
2. Chinese Checkers
Much more dynamic than regular checkers, and it can be played by up to six people at once.
3. Ticket to Ride
Ticket to Ride is great for people of all ages. Plus, it comes in so many different versions.
4. Unstable Unicorns
Alright, so I suppose this is more of a card game than a board game. It's so much fun though, and the cards are hilarious. Definitely watch the audience with this one though because it's NSFW.
5. Hungry Hungry Hippos
Yes, this is a children's game. But, it'll get your adrenaline racing, and it's also an arm workout
6. Operation
Operation trains your dexterity while being delightfully dramatic every time you make a mistake.
7. Pandemic
I had to include Pandemic because of the current global context, but the game merits inclusion on its own merits. What's special about Pandemic is that it's a collaborative game, not a competitive one. So, all players team up in order to win, and there's no one winner. It's all or nothing.
8. Wingspan
I'm including this game on the list for my mom, who bought me it last year because she knows I love games and had read about it online. I haven't found anyone to play it with yet, but all signs point to it being fantastic!
9. Risk
This one is probably controversial. I love Risk, but it can drone on. Some people also don't like that it has such a heavy element of luck.
10. Age of Mythology
I love turn-based games that have a heavy element of fantasy in them (even if I only play them once a year). I'm adding Age of Mythology to this list because I'm familiar with it and used to play it a lot when I was little, but there are many similar games out there that seem like they could be a lot of fun.
