The Woodworking Show Round Up
We've been at the North of England Woodworking Show for the past 4 days. Here's a bit of a round up!
1. The first day
You can tell it's day one - no shavings on the floor. This is Chris finishing his set up, ready for the punters to arrive. He was demonstrating on the Tormek stand and showing visitors how easy it is to use the Tormek sharpening system.

2. Register of Professional Turners
Chris is the first completely blind woodturner to be accepted on to the Register of Professional Turners. He was presented with the new badge and smock patch - they've recently had a rebrand.

3. The first project
This is Chris at the lathe starting to turn his first project of the day.

4. Sharpening
Chris did a bit of turning, followed by a bit of sharpening. This is him demonstrating the Tormek T-8.

5. Then some more turning.
Check out the shavings!

6. A few finished items
Chris turned three bowls. A small chawan which now lives on my desk. A textured and gilted bowl. An airbrushed bowl. Plus a Christmas tree, also textured and gilted.

7. Bamber had a ball
Matthew, a 12 year old, looked after Bamber all weekend. They went on tour! They became best friends.

8. Magic
The last project of the weekend was a magic wand, gifted to Matthew.

9. Ready for a rest
It was a long few days, on our feet all day, and lots of visitors to talk to. After his shenanigans with Matthew, Bamber was ready for his bed when we got home.
