The Woodworking Show Round Up

We've been at the North of England Woodworking Show for the past 4 days. Here's a bit of a round up!

    1. The first day

    0

You can tell it's day one - no shavings on the floor. This is Chris finishing his set up, ready for the punters to arrive. He was demonstrating on the Tormek stand and showing visitors how easy it is to use the Tormek sharpening system.

1st: Congrats Chris. It always feels good when your skill and achievements are recognized by your peers.

2nd: Thank You. I had never been to a woodworking show until your series of posts transported me there. I enjoyed getting a tiny peak of a world I knew nothing about.

Thank you. I’m very proud of Chris.

Yes, they’re interesting events. Lots of wood, obviously, and tools and machinery, and related products. Plus many familiar faces now. The visitors are mostly men and the demographic is predominantly 60+.

Great list! The finished items look amazing. Are those made live in front of people?

Congrats on the participation

Thanks! Yes, everything is made live in front of the attendees. People walk by, then stand and watch for a while. Some of them don’t work out that Chris is blind. Chris has done public demonstrations since 2017. We’ve done around 100 now. Demonstrations are mostly about showing people new ideas and techniques. Glad you liked the list.
