The Yeast and the Kingdom of God. (2 min 30 sec)

    1. ‘What shall I compare the kingdom of God to?

It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.’” Luke 13:20-21
Yeast is a metaphor for the transformative power of the mind. Just as a small amount of yeast permeates a large amount of dough, a small shift in perception or a single thought aligned with love transforms your entire experience of the world.
The woman in the parable is the mind that chooses to embrace the yeast (truth, love, and divine principles). The mind is the decision-maker, capable of choosing between the ego (fear, separation) and the Holy Spirit (love, unity).
The sixty pounds of flour symbolizes the pervasive nature of the ego's thought system, which dominates the untrained mind. It's the various layers of false beliefs that obscure the awareness of love and truth.
The yeast working through the dough is the process of spiritual awakening. As the yeast (truth) spreads throughout the dough (ego's thought system), it gradually transforms it, bringing about a profound internal shift towards the awareness of the Kingdom of God. Inner peace and true sight reveal God's Kingdom.
    Practical Application:
The practice of forgiveness is the means by which the mind dissolves the ego's thought system. Forgiveness is akin to introducing yeast into the flour—it is a seemingly small act that has a powerful and transformative effect on the mind.
The parable highlights the potency of even the smallest thought aligned with love and truth. We are encouraged to be vigilant with our thoughts, recognizing that every loving thought contributes to the healing of the mind and the world.
Just as yeast takes time to work through the dough, spiritual transformation is a gradual process. Persistence and patience in your practice leads to the full realization of the Kingdom of God within.
The Kingdom of God is not a physical place but a state of mind characterized by peace, love, and joy. This divine state is achieved through the consistent application of spiritual principles, leading to a complete shift from fear to love.
