I may be accepted to an accelerator here in Berlin, but it means I have to stay in Berlin for 6 months

As an American, I can stay for 3 months out of every 6 months, but I heard there are some weird workarounds like I can leave and then come in via a border that doesn't stamp me, or I can apply for a work visa and they take 3-4 months, so I can stay until the appointment day.
