things i'm releasing
i've *long* been attracted to the idea of minimalism (pssst - this isn't just another post about minimalism 😉) but when it came time to implement... i had a hard time actually letting go of things. that seems to be shifting after a coaching call i had in March. 🥳 here's what i'm releasing recently.
1. magazines
i have held on to so many Mother Earth News + Willow and Sage magazines. like, for years. i never opened them. never used anything within them. never looked through them. i dusted them & that's about it. i recently went through the whole lot & snagged out the bits i wanted, then recycled the rest.2. my Amazon wishlists
i'd tried to do this SO MANY TIMES over the years and always had something that stopped me. i just felt like "Oh but what if..." (whatever the what if was in each scenario). i finally realized i could always search again if i really needed something and really wanted to use Amazon to purchase. done and done.3. my Goodreads 'to be read' bookshelf list
similar to the above. i'm actually doing a reading challenge now (whereby i go through all of my books - there are over 600 on Kindle alone... not to mention the tree books i've got 🤦🏼♀️ ) and release any that don't feel like a '10' (like, they don't really sing to me). any that are left, i'm reading them and finding at least ONE thing that i can take from each to implement into my life & watch how it changes my life. SUPER excited about this! because of that, i felt able to release MOST of that bookshelf on Goodreads. i've already got plenty as it is!4. clothing
anything that makes me feel frumpy is being donated, regardless of how much money was spent on it initially, or whether someone gifted it to me, or for any other reason. if i find myself constantly pulling or tugging or adjusting, that item is also gone. the only things i'm keeping are things i feel good and can easily move around in.
