Things to avoid saying when you want to say nothing at all:

    1. "I don't want to talk about it." This can come across as dismissive and may make the other person feel shut out.

    2. "It's fine." If something is bothering you, saying it's fine may be interpreted as a lack of concern or interest in the situation.

    3. "Whatever." This word can be seen as dismissive and can come across as apathetic.

    4. "I'm not upset." If you are upset but don't want to talk about it, saying you're not upset may be perceived as dishonest or evasive.

    5. "I don't care." This can make it seem like you don't have an opinion on the matter, which may come across as uninterested or unengaged.

    6. "I'm not in the mood to talk." While it's okay to not be in the mood to talk, this phrase can be interpreted as dismissive or rude.

    7. "Leave me alone." This phrase can come across as harsh and may make the other person feel rejected.

    8. "I'm fine." Similar to "it's fine," saying you're fine when you're not can make it seem like you don't care or aren't interested.

    9. "I don't want to discuss it." While it's okay to not want to discuss something, saying it this way can make it seem like you are shutting the other person out.

    10. "I don't know." While it's okay to not have an answer, saying "I don't know" repeatedly can be frustrating for the other person and may come across as uninterested or apathetic.
