Things to do differently without it causing any problems
1. Serving coffee in Christmas cups in April
I'm at a coffee shop that's doing this. I don't think it's a mistake. I went to another one from the same chain yesterday and both have Christmas coffee cups.
2. Eating waffles with chopsticks
Cut them up into pieces and put them in a bowl. It's fine. Why not?
3. Putting ice cubes in beer
I once ordered beer and they said they were warm. I said "Can't you just put ice cubes in the glass?" and she looked at me like I was a sociopath. I immediately realized that's not a thing, it sounded weird to me to, and I started wondering why. Is there a reason we don't do this?
4. Cooking while sitting down
If you don't need to move around much, why not? Grab a stool. I did this once and it shocked my dad.
But considering most people are already sitting too much, it's probably not worth it.
5. Talking to strangers at every opportunity instead of being on your phone
Only good can come out of this.
6. Wearing unpaired socks
Been doing this for years. It bothers me when I'm out of socks and can only wear them paired.
7. Wearing shoelaces of different colors
I haven't tried this yet but I've been meaning to. I just always forget to get new laces. You can buy some fun ones online.
8. Living in a tiny house
Although there are drawbacks to working where you sleep, if you work from home. But maybe if you don't work from your bed it's fine. Or just don't work at home. Or build a tiny office adjacent to the tiny house.
9. Living on a cruise ship full-time
I remember reading about someone who spent less money living full-time on cruise ships than he did on rent. Sounds like a pretty sweet thing to do for a year or so.
