1. Iceland
I bought a cheap one way ticket to Iceland, made some new friends from all over the world and had a great time. The entire time I was there, I felt like I was in a Lord of The Rings movie. Waterfalls, rivers, snow covered mountains. I got to see the Northern Lights, which was awesome. The ticket there was the only thing that was cheap.2. Greece
When I was in Athens, I got to see the Acropolis, ate a ton of gyros and souvlaki, and marveled at the orange trees that lined the streets. Too bad you couldn't eat them (they taste very bitter). There were cats EVERYWHERE.3. Italy
I was able to get to see most of Rome in a couple of days. Gladiator is one of my favorite movies and it was a dream come true to get to see the Colosseum. The Sistine Chapel (Cappella Sistina in Italian), St. Peter's Basilica, and The Vatican were all fascinating to see. The work of Michelangelo is incredible.4. United Kingdom
London was very similar to NYC, just much cleaner and with a different accent. Piccadilly Circus was just like Times Square. I got to see @JamesAltucher give a talk and I unwittingly ended up in his Amazon movie. I played poker in downtown London and lost some money, but had a great conversation with a South African about safaris. Had some INCREDIBLE breakfasts.5. France
My favorite part of Paris was the Sacre Coeur Basilica (attached photo was taken at the top of the Sacre Coeur with the Eiffel Tower in the distance). It's not as popular as the Eiffel Tower, but it's still a beautiful building and the surrounding area is very well kept. I almost got robbed when I was there, so I wouldn't recommend traveling there alone.
Other spots worth visiting in Paris: The Catacombs (very cool! I wouldn't recommend it if you're claustrophobic, as there's a very long and tight spiral staircase you have to walk to get to the skeletons - 130 steps down and 80 steps up).
