Ways in which you can practice gratitude.

When you're grateful you can't be sad or angry or depressed at the same time. 

    1. Write 10 things you are grateful for daily

    2. The moment you feel a cloud of negativity floating around, take a deep breath, step back, look around you to find a couple of things you can be grateful for

    Especially when feeling overwhelmed or sad.

    3. Take things “as granted “ instead of “for granted “

    Think about one thing you take for granted (my bed) and think about the distinction of taking it as granted. A small change in perspective a big change in character. 

    4. Be conscious of the main obstacles to gratitude and overcome them

    Entitlement - overcome with humility 

    And Humility is not denying your strengths, it's being honest about your weaknesses. Be kind, generous, be present! Today! And do this every day. 

    C.S. Lewis said: “Do not imagine that if you meet a really humble man he will be what most people call ‘humble’ nowadays: he will not be a sort of greasy, smarmy person, who is always telling you that, of course, he is nobody. Probably all you will think about him is that he seemed a cheerful, intelligent chap who took a real interest in what you said to him. If you do dislike him it will be because you feel a little envious of anyone who seems to enjoy life so easily. He will not be thinking about humility: he will not be thinking about himself at all.”

    5. “Remember who dug the wells” and give back in equal measure

    Einstein put it this way: “Every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.”

    Be happy for others, celebrate their awesomeness, see their beauty and celebrate their good fortune
