Ways my local library can help me

I was at the library today picking out more books to read to my kids. I'm always surprised at the services the library offers.

Great list: my library has all these plus you con sometimes get access to very expensive databases like lexis nexus and Thompsons for manufacturing. This was a bigger deal before the internet but still pretty cool. My library system has a full blown podcasting/audio/video studio that you can reserve.

Very cool. You just reminded me that my local library has been installing "makerspaces" where they have things like recording equipment, 3D printers, embroidery machines, and laser engravers available for public use. I think we'll see more libraries do stuff like this as the popularity of physical books declines.
