What are things you can’t go without?
Here are my 10 most important things.
1. Razor and shaving cream
Pretty obvious, but appearance matters. I've recently figured out safety razor shaving and it's great. Shaving cream, not soap, is essential for me as well.
2. Toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss
Same reason as above, but always gotta have those.
3. Glasses
Pardon the pun, but are we seeing a trend here? If you need them, you need them. And if you can, spend a little money because they'll last longer and since people notice your face first, will noticeably affect how you're portrayed.
4. (Good) Books
Always the best distraction, provided they're well-written.
5. Water
If you could drink nothing else, would be impossible to go wrong with this.
6. Good footwear
Well-made boots in the winter, durable and comfortable shoes the rest of the year. As long as you can walk to something, you're golden.
7. A lake or body of water
Technically I could live without this, but there are just so many benefits to the lake I live near: psychological, physical, etc. I've read in Greg Wells books that being in nature and breathing in the air that plants emit is great for your overall health, especially your immune system. I also get to see animals and talk to people sometimes.
8. A notepad and good pen
This website is a testament to why this is so important. Having a pen good pen makes writing anything down easier. (My pick? The Uniball Jetstream)
9. A laptop
I'm reading Dandapani's book, The Power of Unwavering Focus, and he begins by saying that when he began his life in wider society he had $1000 and a laptop, which illustrates how important this is.
10. A watch
We have phones now, which are the new pocket watches, but a watch has been way more practical and reliable for me and will always outlast the battery life of a phone.
Thanks for sharing. ✨
