What are your best stress management tips?
That was a Tweet from Kayla Scanlon. 1-5 are what I Tweeted. I added 6 and 7 for this post.
1. Live in the mountains
More likely to spend time in nature this way.
2. No daily commute
3. Lift weights
4. Minimize shitty foods
There's volumes of research showing carbs make things like depression and stress worse.
5. Understand the stock market's ergodicity
My day job is working in the stock market. I've trained myself to look at the big picture which helps me not get emotional when stocks decline.
6. Have varied interests and activities
My interests in markets, firefighting, sports, photography and so on cause the brain to work on different things at different times as opposed to just dwelling on one thing.
7. Dogs
If you have at least one dog you already know. If you don't have any dogs, trust me, get a dog.
