What gender equality and equity mean to me personally

Gender equality to me means that everyone is given the same opportunities, but not necessarily the same outcomes. For example, women may be given the same opportunities as men to apply for a job, but they may not be given the same job offer because they may not be seen as capable.

To me, gender equity is when the playing field is level between genders. This means that men and women have the same opportunities and resources available to them. For example, in education, there should be an equal number of scholarships available to men and women.

I believe that gender equality means that everyone gets a fair share. This means that men and women should be given the same resources and opportunities, and that they should be distributed evenly. For example, in the workplace, men and women should be given the same opportunities for promotions and raises.

I think that gender equality means that there is no longer a glass ceiling for women. This means that women should have the same opportunities as men to reach the highest levels of their careers. For example, women should be able to serve in combat roles in the military and be CEOs of companies.
