What professions or people are under-appreciated?
I am skipping the typical answers like doctors nurses teachers cops etc. Going for the more uncovential and more overlooked gigs that go under appreciated.
1. Anyone who cleans a bathroom in a public space
2. Small Business Owners
People who have never started a business or their own income have no idea of the insurmountable nature of it especially as you grow to hire employees.
3. Truckers
We've gotten so used to having everything only a day away but the infrastructure and labor involved in that standard involves a lot of people driving a lot of miles a day to make it happen.
4. Mechanics
5. Medical Examiner (?)
Not sure if this is the right term but he people that perform autopsy's and deal with cadavers and determine causes of death. Weird way to make a living just cutting people up and weighing organs.
6. Farmers
If people had any idea of the amount of effort and care and labor it took to grow fruits and vegetables they wouldn't complain about food prices.
7. Chefs
Restaurant back of house staff in general. Brutal hours conditions and pay.
8. Factory Workers
9. Steel workers (high rise construction)
Builders in general
10. Miners
Not an industry I generally agree with but the work is grueling. Same with oil riggers
