What to Do with a Dying Website?
I am in no way experienced as a webmaster, website builder, on e-commerce guru. Just some ideas that might mean something.
H/T @roccodesta
1. Is it really dying or just a dormant phase?
Sometimes patience is a virtue. Other times it is a fallacy.
2. Do I need a more affordable host?
Is it possible to move the content or would it have to be re-created.
3. How can I improve the lineup of products and / or services?
3A: When is the last time I refreshed the products available?
4. Is navigation of the site intuitive?
5. What am I doing to drive traffic to the site?
6. Is the ROI on trying to drive traffic worth it?
7. Is a website today's business card?
In the same way that writing a book serves more as a marketing too or introduction.
8. Is there something that can be given away for free?
9. Conversely, what can be done to make the website more valuable?
Would a different product or market with a higher price point offset a smaller volume?
10. It's OK to keep a website or domain just because you want to!
Harder to justify, but what else do we "waste" money on for ourselves just because we want to.
