What were your best decisions last year?
1. Took my family on a last minute vacation
First thing we did post covid that really felt normal. Wife and kids really deserved it after months of remote learning, masks etc.
2. Refinanced my mortgage
We already had a great rate at 3.75%, but we re-financed down to 2.98%. This is essentially a lottery ticket which pays off over the next couple decades.
3. Negotiated my salary
Secured a 20% raise by simply asking for it. You will not get something you don't ask for!
