Who Here Is Real?
Seems we have a lot of new posters here... are they real folks, or just posting for some marketing / business purpose?
I value the folks who are genuine idea generators - I've learned a good deal from ya'all. I am also muting / blocking those who are clearly here for other reasons.
Well, maybe I'm wrong about them... I'd suggest we share something about ourselves to see who's who.
Here's my list - your list might (and probably should) vary.
1. Location
Northern New Jersey, USA. Life long resident, but have traveled extensively in the US in a "previous life."
2. Family Status
Married since 10/01/01. One son, 17 years old. A dog (Catahoula Leopard Dog / Husky mix), three cats (two are 16, one is 1), and a tropical fish tank.
3. Politics
Don't like it. Fiercely independent. Basic thought process - do they / does it benefit the people, and not the lobbyists and/or politicians?
4. Current Stressor(s)
The wife's health issues.
And, the son wants a new(er) high-end used car. He just started a new part-time job which can cover payments and insurance. He's pushing and pushing to do it yesterday.
5. Spare Time
In the fall, I officiate high school football. The spring is going to as many of our son's lacrosse games as possible. Winter & summer are "catch up" seasons for those things not done in the fall and spring.
Now that I think about it, except for preparing for the next season, I don't have regular hobbies. Did collect GI Joes and coins, but have set those aside.
6. College
Rutgers College '84. Major in geography, minor in philosophy.
7. Current Career / Job
CFO for a non-profit providing residential living and services to adults with developmental disabilities.
8. Favorite Foods
Pizza, burgers & dogs, french onion soup. Guilty pleasure - White Castle sliders.
9. Unusual Thing(s) About Me
I worked for twelve years for the headquarters of my college fraternity. That's where I got my travel miles, and how I ended up in the non-profit sector.
10. Where Am I In Ten Years?
Hopefully alive, retired somewhere semi-rural, finishing up all those projects I've started or plan to do.
