10 reasons I prefer to read ebooks rather then physical books

I've been a reader my entire life, and I always enjoy reading physical books.

However, in the past few years, I've gradually transitioned to reading more and more ebooks. Here are 10 reasons why I prefer ebooks:

    1. Able to highlight passages for quotes or key insights

    I use different colour markup depending on the passage I want to highlight:

    • Yellow - Regular notes
    • Blue - Deep Insights
    • Red - Contrarian Thoughts

    2. Use a tool like Readwise to consolidate, categorize all my Kindle book highlights

    3. Consolidate them in a note taking tool like Microsoft OneNote or Evernote

    4. Create a database of quotations that can be used in idea lists, presentations and blogs

    5. eBooks don't take up physical space

    6. You can store 1000s of eBooks on your device

    7. eBooks don't weigh anything

    8. eBooks tend to be cheaper then physical books

    9. I can make embedded notes

    10. I can copy and paste hard-to-understand passages into an AI summarizer tool to gain comprehension
