10 things I learned from The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino
1. Good habits compound
2. Discipline is at the heart of good habits
And discipline is learned by reading each scroll three times a day, for 30 days
3. Re-reading is a form of reading and learning
In fact, if you take your favourite book and re-read it, you'll probably get something new out of it
4. You can go through a day being positive or being negative
Both are equally easy to do but one gives you more energy. The other gives you less.
5. The prize is not at the beginning of a journey
Prizes are at the end of a journey. So you must persist.
6. Remove all words of failure, impossibility, hopeless from your mind and vocabulary
7. Just doing a little bit more (one more sales call, one more rep, one more practice walkthrough) every day adds up
It also puts you above those that want to call it a day at the end of the day
8. You (yes you) are amazing. You were brought to this earth for a purpose.
9. Be mindful. Don't think about the past. Don't think about the future. You only have today to consider.
10. Live each day as if it is your last and make it your best day.
It could very well be.
