10 things you should keep in mind if you want to write a book

    1. You're not going to make money

    0

Very few authors earn significant amounts of money on books alone - they usually make it through speeches, courses or other ways to upsell readers.

    2. It's going to be a slog

    0

Take it from me who has self-published seven books, it doesn't get any easier.

    3. Research is super helpful

    0

Whatever book you want to write, the best way to get started is to read all related topics.

    4. Write a little every day

    0

Tim Ferriss used to have this saying "two crappy pages every day". It doesn't matter what happens, if you write two crappy pages you're good.

    5. Find a good editor

    0

An editor helps you with grammar, spelling, formatting and other things. But the better ones help you find your voice, cut out fluff and make sure you have something valuable to say

    6. Just because you've written a book doesn't mean it's going to sell millions

    0

After writing the book, then comes advertising / marketing, telling all your friends, and trying to influence best-seller lists.

    7. It's quite an accomplishment

    0

Most people die with a book on their bucket list. So writing a book means you're ahead of a lot of people.

    8. Having your own 'product' can be a great feeling

    0

First time I held my paperback, it was great. I love holding a physical product that I created myself.

    9. After writing a book, get on the next book right away

    0

Use the moment of finishing one book to carry you to the next book

    10. Have fun

    0

I didn't write books to earn money. I wrote books so that I could learn more about myself.

That's cool that you have published 7 books! Are you selling it in Amazon?
