3 Happy Brain Fruits I'm Enjoying a Lot in Mexico

3 foods that are delicious and local to the region that your brain will absolutely love!

    1. Mamey Sapote - happy fruit :)

This fruit was nicknamed (just like the guava below) a superfruit. Why? Higher levels of nutrients compared to regular fruit! Mamey sapote and guava for example are among very few fruits that have high amounts of some B vitamins and higher amounts of many minerals. High levels of potassium, B6, niacin and copper - energy metabolism, neurotransmitters synthesis (dopamine, serotonin), lower heart rate and blood pressure + other nutrients and taste of a chocolate pudding - reasons why this fruit makes your brain happy.

    2. Guava

Besides potassium, copper, magnesium, good amounts of folate, niacin, B5, B6, ... - guava is a champ when it comes to vitamin C - 288% in just one fruit. Why is it important for a happy brain? Synthesis of dopamine for once and then high metabolic activity requires a lot of antioxidants (vitamin C) to protect the brain from damage! The taste? Kind of like strawberry. Very nice and SOO cheap here!

    3. Avocado

If you didn't know that, monounsaturated fats, vitamin K and tyrosine make it a great fruit for a dopamine boost! Plus all the potassium for healthy blood pressure that our high-performing brain needs! I've never had so many avocados in my life as I do in Mexico - all the guacamole and they are just perfect here, fresh, local and creamy!

I wouldn't say Mexican food is great for the brain but Mexican fruits and other plants (like chocolate) definitely are!!! And all the sunshine!

    Have you tried all these?
