Favourite Books and 1 Thing I Learned From Each

    1. Karma: A Yogi's Guide to Crafting Your Destiny - Sadhguru

Imagine you are given an empty bag when you are born. Every action, every thought, every perception adds weight to this bag and it's up to you to either let the weight hold you back or propel you forward. You can either add wheels to the bag and stroll it casually or you can carry the weight in your head and make yourself miserable.

    2. The Order of Time - Carlo Rovelli

We perceive the movement of time in only one direction because the overall entropy is lower in the past and it leaves a trace of itself as memory in various forms.

    3. Unfu*k Yourself - Gary John Bishop

You are probably ok with the problems that you have in your life on some level. Otherwise, you would have got that job, lost that extra weight, or achieved whatever "goal" you set for yourself to fill the mental space.

    4. Freakonomics - Steven D Levitt

There's more to things than meets the eye

    5. Everything is F*cked - Mark Manson

    Maybe Everything is not f*cked?

    6. Siddhartha - Hermann Hesse

There's wisdom all around in nature, you just need to observe. Siddhartha claims the only things he knows are to Think, Wait, and Fast.

    7. FLOW - Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

You need to actually do things to take care of yourself. Identify things that you enjoy and things that you are good at. Learn new things and challenge yourself consistently to transform yourself.

    8. Animal Farm - George Orwell

I believe the theme of this story is a contrapositive to the quote by Frederic Douglass "Knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave".

    9. A New Earth - Eckhart Tolle

Most of us are too busy with the circus that is our mental drama that we don't know what it's like to live fully.

The present moment is where the key lies for us to see things as it really is instead of through the lens of our misguided ideas of the world.

    10. Can't Hurt Me - David Goggins

The Human body is capable of miracles when it is pushed to its full potential. Nothing ever happens in your comfort zone. You need to stay committed and focused if you want to achieve anything.
