Fitness Standards For A 75 Year Old Man?

This is from Mark Baker on Twitter. He has a very tough list for younger men. For the following different list he said "minimum physical requirements for a man--just above having a pulse." The idea of this as a target for when you are 75 is interesting and <harsh comment coming> if you're 50 you should be much better than this list.

    1. Deadlift your bodyweight

    0

    2. 100 meter sprint under 19 seconds

    0

    3. 3 chin-ups

    0

    4. Run an 11 minute mile

    0

    5. Squat 80% of your bodyweight

    0

    6. Body fat under 18%

I, too, would need to train for a few of these! I have about 20 years to improve. I would add being able to plank for 1 minute, balance on each leg for one minute with the foot held higher than the knee, touch your toes, reach an object from the back of a kitchen cabinet and get up from the floor effortlessly without assistance.

Good additions. One thing about balancing that I've seen is as opposed to balancing on one foot or whatever, the focus should be more like athletic balance like being able to hike on rocky trails.
