How To Live -27 conflicting answers and one weird conclusion - Derek Sivers - Chase The Culture - 3 Insights

    1. Old friends and family se you as you used to be, and unintentionally discourage your growth.

Don't try and change people - change people.

Spend your social time meeting new people.

    2. Yesterday is gone for good.

Gone - no longer present; departed.

It appears that many people have difficulty understanding what to be gone means.

    The past is dead.

You can't resurrect the past although many have tried.

Whatever traumatic thing might have happened in your past, it no longer defines you.

In your world, the past has no power at all unless you choose to invite the ghosts of yesteryear.

    3. Tradition is the opposite of what you want.

I recently heard a sex worker say she doesn't read the Bible because she feels the Bible is judgmental.

I can identify with her assertion. Believing you were born a sinner is a tough pill to swallow even though there's not an ounce of truth in the belief.

Question everything. You owe it to yourself to know the truth.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
