How to remember birthdays
Even though I’m not a big fan of my birthdays, I love to remember other people’s birthdays.
1. Date book
In the UK you can buy inexpensive and small birthday books. I bought one last year and keep it on my desk.
2. Google calendar
I have used Google calendar to track birthdays.
3. Things
When I was using Things, I set up all my birthday reminders with 14 days notice to buy cards.
4. Obsidian
I set up a note per person. I added YAML. Then used Dataview to create a list of upcoming birthdays.
5. Filofax
I’m using a Filofax again so have added birthdays to my weekly calendar.
6. Buy cards in advance
I often buy cards months in advance, if I see the perfect card. I keep them in last year’s birthday card calendar.
