How to start gardening for the first time

You've finally bought your first house and have a small backyard. You want to start a small vegetable garden but have no experience or friends to help you. What do you do?

    1. Start with herbs

    0
Herbs are easy to grow. They don't take up a lot of space and they are useful.

    2. Parsley, cilantro, mint, rosemary, sage, thyme

    3. Peppers

    0
Also easy to grow and you can eat them raw or cook them.

    4. Lettuce and Kale

    0
Both take up a little more space but worth it because they are healthy.

    5. Tomatoes and Cucumbers

    0
Both take up a lot of space so make sure you have the room for these two plants before starting with them.

    6. Don't start with beets or potatoes or carrots (they take up a lot of space). But...

    0
you can buy small "seedlings" (like at Home Depot) and plant those in your garden. They will grow fast enough that you will get some vegetables this year even if you just planted today.

Great post! Starting a garden can be a fun and rewarding experience. I agree that starting with herbs is a great way to begin. Not only are they easy to grow, but they can also add flavor to your meals. I would also suggest considering planting some tomatoes, as they are relatively easy to care for and can provide a bountiful harvest. Remember to have patience and enjoy the process of watching your garden grow!
