If you could communicate with your pet, what would you want to talk about?
I have a cat named Asia. She is a Calico, and I think she is 8 years old.
1. How come you catch mice sometimes, and sometimes you don't?
0
She must have killed every mouse in a one-block radius of our old house, but she's done nothing about the ones in the new house - making me resort to traps.
2. You know I keep you inside for your own safety right?
0
3. Are you really OK with eating the same thing every day?
0
4. Why can't you use that nice scratching post?
0
I don't want to have to keep stopping you from sharpening your claws on the furniture.
5. Who Do You Like Better, Me or Your Mom?
0
6. Which of the kids do you like better?
0
7. Did you used to like it when we'd take you on walks?
0
8. How come you're not using your bed/nest anymore?
0
9. What do you think of other animals?
0
You seemed unimpressed with the deer that showed up the other day...
10. How come you're OK with some cats, but lose your mind at the sight of others?

They DO communicate with us every day, trying share their thoughts and feelings. They think we humans are dense and disconnected, sometimes they wonder how intelligent we are because from their viewpoint, our actions and discordant energy don't make much sense. :)
If you've ever sensed your pet trying to tell you something, that's because they are. It's worth it to learn how to speak their language. Then they can tell you when they don't feel well, they can share what they know that you don't, when they're in pain, and they often have fascinating insight into the world around them, even about you and your family, friends, your work, and so much more.
I remember a fly once told a programmer what was wrong with his code and why it wouldn't work. When the programmer listened, and checked out what the fly told him, he found the problem. He rewrote that section of code, and reran the program, and it worked!
Again, this is fascinating work. I often say that people come to me with their pet problems, then I help their pet with their people problems.
When we communicate with your cats, and speak their language so we understand their viewpoints, see their memories, know what they think and feel, what they need and want,, they can tell us their answers to these questions.
Without working with you 1:1, I can only generalize from what other animals have told me in my over 30 years of communicating with animals. Beyond knowing the answer(s) to your questions, my specialty is solving problems like these with pets which is my specialty along with teaching you how to communicate yourself, and healing people and pets. I plan to write a post(s) helping to answer everyone's questions here in the challenge. You can see more about my work at www.ValHeart.com, and get a copy of my free ebook: hidden secrets to communicating with pets there as well if you'd like. :)
1. She isn't focused on the ones in the new house, and has likely made friends with them. She thinks they live there. To help with this, if I worked with you 1:1, we would explain and discuss her job description, which includes hunting the ones in the new house.
2. She is not clear about why you keep her in at night, I can sense her restlessness at night. So no, she's not understanding this. When you can speak her language, you can discuss it so she gets it. :)
3. Cats have a fairly narrow sense of what's safe to eat and what's not, they learn it in a socialization period from their mom and other cats, or, from what's available to eat. In my 30+ years experience working with cats and diets and health, no, eating the same thing every day isn't healthy. They need variety and fresh caught food. Kibble is the worst, free grazing is terrible for them, and if it's the wrong food then later in life they'll have health problems.
4. She doesn't like the "nice scratching post". It may be too small, or, improperly placed, or unstable. She wants her scent and visual marks from scratching the furniture to be seen and smelled, so in effect she is claiming the "human" furniture. Again, until I can work with you and her directly, these are generalizations gleaned from many years of working to solve problems like this.
I'll leave the rest of this for another time. Hope that helps!
