I'm Here to Help.

Preview
If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.

    1. If you want "The Real Thing", here ya go.

I'm only here to be truly helpful.
I'm not here to be helpful when it serves me.
I'm not here to be helpful when I feel like it.
I'm not here to be helpful sometimes.
If I'm not here only to be truly helpful, then why am I here?
If I'm not here only to be helpful, then I must be here to serve the agenda of my ego.
This typically involves making myself right and making you wrong.
I'm trying to fix something or someone in the world hoping, wishing, and praying that it will make me happy.
But when I'm here only to be truly helpful it's my safeguard against my ego goals which want nothing to do with being helpful
If I'm here only to be helpful-- sometimes-- it's not going to work out well for me or you.
To be truly helpful my focus is on you and your well-being.

    2. Try this on for size.

Before you utter a word say to yourself, "I only want to be truly helpful so I will choose only loving words and phrases today."
Before you enter a building, a room, or even a meeting today say, "I only want to be truly helpful."
Allow these words to permeate your thoughts with every encounter.

    3. The purification process.

Wanting to be truly helpful does the following:

It anchors you into the present moment. No past or future.
It washes away greed and ambition.
You learn to be content being exactly where you are.
It washes away thinking about other people and places and not being focused on the here and now.
When we're thinking, about anything, we aren't present.
When we focus only on being truly helpful, at that moment, our ego is nowhere to be found and it will object to being tossed out of the picture.
Expect some pushback from Bob, John, Susie, or Samantha but remain diligent to the task at hand of only wanting to be truly helpful you'll be glad you did.

    4. You will die.

I'm not talking about physical death.
I'm referring to being in a deadened state spiritually.
You will die when you finally realize that your ego goals are never going to work out.
You will die when you finally realize that your ego goals are never going to bring you happiness.
You will die when you discover that your ego goals are never going to bring you contentment or delight.
The deliciousness of what it truly means to be alive can't ever be experienced unless you're only here to be truly helpful.
When we're ready to see the world differently, our teacher(s) will show up to point the way.
Only then will you be able to reach "heights of happiness" that you can't even imagine in your current state of mind.
