My "Bittersweet" song list. The saddest songs.

Was talking to Susan Cain today on the podcast. She has a book coming out called "Bittersweet" about how melancholy isn't always what it seems. That it could make one more creative, more empathetic, etc. She told me she had a list of songs that made her sad. They all make heavy usage of minor keys. So I made my own list.

These are all songs that could easily make me cry.

    1. "Five Years" by David Bowie

    2. "Grandma's Hands" by Bill Withers

I think that's why I love Neutral Milk Hotel. "A warm blanket" of sadness, chaos and the death of something. But I also think it's like remembering who you are.
