Prosopagnosia

I think I have a very mild or low grade version of prosopagnosia or face blindness. If I see someone out of context from where i know them from, I often don't recognize them. It has happened a few times including a work colleague on a Chicago street quite a few years ago and yesterday when my niece's fiance came up to me at a fire house event. "Out of context prosopagnosia?"

This is interesting - I think I’m the same. Twice, I’ve not recognised neighbours out of context.

Not sure. I don’t come across many. Strangely I’m good at recognising complete strangers. So, if I see the same person twice, by chance, I can place where I saw them previously. Bizarre!!
