The 7 lies of learning

From the book, I am currently reading "Limitless" by Jim Kwik.

    1. Intelligence is fixed.

    0

What limits us are the thought patterns we have acquired over time and the beliefs we have about our capabilities and what we can achieve.

"It's not how smart you are; it's how you are smart."

    2. We only use 10% of our brains

    0

This is a myth since neuroscientific studies show that each part of our brain has its function and we use our entire brain in our daily lives. However, some people use it better than others, even so, we can learn to use it better, and more efficiently.

    3. Mistakes are failures

    0

We learned this as children, mainly in traditional education.

Mistakes are just part of life, and part of growing and learning, they are a sign that we are trying something new.

    4. Knowledge is power

    0

Knowledge itself is not power if it is not applied.

    5. Learning new things is very difficult.

    0

Usually, we are not taught how to learn, so many times we can have a hard time trying to learn something.

    6. The criticism of other people matters

    0

I liked this sentence "Creating the life you want can be scary. But you know what's scarier? Regret." "Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from.

    7. Genius is born

    0

"Genius is not born; it's made through deep practice".
