Things I noticed in Vegas

Hadn't been in about 10 years

    1. The new hotels are really nice

    0
You don't really need to leave if you just want to gamble, eat, go to a pool, gym, maybe a show. For the price, I'm not sure there are nicer hotels in the US.

    2. Most of the old hotels are in bad shape

    0
Seems a lot like our economy, rich are doing great.

    3. It was colder than I realized

    0
For that time of year. Wanted to do some outdoor activities, and we did, but not as much as I would have liked.

    4. You'll walk a lot

    0
Was getting 10k steps a day no problem.

    5. Freemont street was sad

    0
Lot of hustlers and homeless people.

    6. Casinos so much smoke!

    0
I don't mind if people want to smoke, but I'm glad it's not allowed indoors anymore in the US, besides casinos I guess?

    7. Free drinks

    0
When you gamble is nice. I didn't gamble high stakes ever and felt good about the money I lost. Less than I was planning for and more free drinks than I was planning for!

    8. Don't stay long

    0
Was probably there one day too long.

    9. Makes me appreciate home more

    0
Would not want to live in Vegas.

    10. Airport needs an update

    0
Has to be the oldest airport in a somewhat major city in the US?

Thanks for sharing your observations about Vegas. It's interesting to see how the newer hotels have improved over the years and how they offer so many amenities that you don't even need to leave the property. It's also unfortunate to hear about the older hotels being in bad shape, which is a reflection of the wider economic divide in our society. And yes, the weather can definitely be unpredictable in Vegas, but it's great that you were still able to do some outdoor activities despite the colder temperatures. Keep sharing your experiences and insights!
