What are 10 life hacks?
1. Never wake up to an alarm clock.
Using an alarm clock disrupts one of the most critical bodily functions. You’re waking up at a time when you’re body is not ready, while it’s still healing. If you have to be up at a certain time, just go to bed earlier.
2. Be kind to everyone, all the time.
If you’re kind to someone, they will remember. If you’re a jerk to someone, they will remember.
3. Cut all negativity with no remorse.
No horror movies, no news media, no gossipers, no people who like to complain about everything, just cut it all out. If someone is dragging you down, they need to go, no matter who they are.
4. Exercise every day.
Running is the best exercise hands-down, followed closely by strength training. Yoga is a game-changer for strength and flexibility. Whatever it is you do, do it every day.
5. Be around big things in nature as much as possible.
Mountains, lakes, and rivers work great. These things have a humbling effect, which reminds us of what’s most important in life.
6. Write 10 ideas a day.
It’s fun and it really does help strengthen the creativity muscle.
7. Use evenings to prepare everything (schedule, clothing, coffee, briefcase, laptop, etc.) for the next day.
When your feet hit the floor in the morning you should be 100% prepared to go without having to stop and think.
8. Smile and laugh as much as possible.
People who think they’re too cool to smile and relax and have a good time aren’t as badass as they think. They’re boring, too serious, few people want to be around them except other boring people, and they probably need to desperately go do something fun for a change (read: get laid). Studies overwhelmingly prove smiling and laughter are good for us, but who needs studies when you can just do them right now and feel it for yourself.
9. Get the most important stuff done early in the day.
You’ll be free to do what you want later in the day without having some nagging task for which you’re responsible hanging over your head.
10. Have a go-to method for anxiety release.
We all get anxious sometime, so having a quick fix in our back pockets is helpful. For me, I have a variety of breathing techniques. Or, I got for a run if I can. A good meditation can help as well.
