What are some books you think everyone should read?

These are some of my favorite books at the moment.

    1. Factfulness - Hans Rosling

Possibly the most important book to read in the era of misinformations. It gave you a tool to help question and digest the things presented to you daily by the media, by the facts you thought you knew (but quite possibly have changed in the past couple of years!). We all have bias, and how we could challenge our own bias is important when we need to better understand an issue.

    2. The Hidden Life of Trees - Peter Wohlleben

The book tells the story about how trees communicate, grow, survive, and thrive. How the different species works in a forest, and how different generations profits from each other. Trees are the biggest and most ancient world wide web. Maybe I'm just a romantic who loves stories of trees as a being, but as Peter Wohlleben also manages a forest in Germany, he might know a thing or two in this field.

    3. Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind - Yuval Noah Harari

It's viewing our species in a timeline, talking about hunter-gatherers, agriculture revolutions, religions, modern religions (spoiler alert: capitalism), and how we are in a verge of creating something outside our own boundaries.

    4. I Hate Running and You Can Too - Brendan Leonard

It's poking fun at our irrational love of running, that even though it's painful, we still run. This is my favorite book about running, especially because I'm bad at it, I don't particularly enjoy it, but against all common sense, I kept doing it. It's a book for runners out there.

    5. Stolen Focus - Johann Hari

Although I'm not a big fan of "the big tech companies are stealing our time" trope, this book has a point. Trying to focus in this day and age is like trying not to eat candy in the middle of all you can eat candy store.

    6. Questions I Am Asked About the Holocaust - Hédi Fried
