What are the most inspirational things you find about Islam?
1. Some very wise men
Especially the Sufis. I've been rereading a book of Sufi stories by Idries Shah since I was a teenager. I also always enjoy reading "The Prophet" by Khalil Gibran. Islam has produced some famous teachers like Rumi.
2. Breathing and meditation practices
In a book about his apprenticeship with a Sufi master, Reshad Feild describes some special breathing and meditation techniques.
3. Women are dominated – and love it
I read in one of the books by Allan and Barbara Pease that women in Saudi Arabia are the happiest with their sexuality internationally.
4. A conquest unprecedented in history
Islam has spread from Arabia to countries as far away as Morocco and Indonesia.
