What were your best decisions last year?
Really one decision with 3 phases
1. Eliminate credit card debt
Done! I still use my Amazon card for monthly expenses so I can fund my book addiction with the rewards points. I pay it off every month.
2. Save up 1 year's worth of living expenses
Going slower than expected due to inflation and a few large-ish purchases of educational material for #3...
3. Quit my job, never to be an employee again
I have a prioritized list of things that I want to learn/do, but my overall goal is to live day to day doing whatever I want to do that day and make sure that living expenses are covered along the way. I may settle in to one thing that becomes my go-to income, but that's not the plan. The last thing I want is another career/title/label. I had hoped to leave employment by the end of this year, but looks like it will be mid-2023. I can't wait!
