What will you do this year to create a pocket of excellence in your job?

I truly believe that I have team members who are higher performers than I. Instead of trying to keep up or surpass them, I can make their efforts even better.

I spend too much time at my primary workplace doing things that while necessary for the business, do not advance the work I'm supposed to be accomplishing.

My inbox is often overwhelming. And the likelihood of my following up decreases as the number goes up. Being timelier with my replies and responses would feed into a more positive outcome.

My mind. My inbox. My file cabinet. My desk.

On my team, we all perform similar primary duties but most of us have collateral (extra) duties that we are also responsible for. These normally fall under "other duties as assigned." While none of them directly affect the team's productivity, they are unique duties that still need to get done. By focusing more energy there, then I am not duplicating the efforts of others and showcasing what I alone am responsible for.
