Wilderness survival training
If one was going to teach wilderness survival training, what would some of the topics be?
1. Rule of 3s
3 minutes without air. 3 days without water. 3 weeks without food. Oversimplified but true enough to illustrate the point.
2. 10 Essentials
There is no such thing. If you do an online search, you will find dozens of different lists of the "10 essential items" to always carry in your pack / pockets. Might be a good challenge to see what each Note'er would come up with.
3. Shelter building
4. finding and collecting water
5. wild edibles
6. finding directions without compass
7. Wilderness First Aid
8. The concept that knowledge weighs nothing and only costs time.
Stated another way: The more you know, the less you have to carry.
9. Fire Starting
10. Staying Found
That way none of the other stuff becomes important.
